Your AI Runs Somewhere Else.
And so does your data.

Most organisations using cloud AI accept that their data is processed on external infrastructure. What is often overlooked is how much control that actually means giving up. Documents, prompts, and outputs pass through systems operated by third-party providers. Even when vendors advertise “local data centres”, server location alone does not determine jurisdiction, operational access, or auditability.

Legal exposure

A Frankfurt or London data centre does not remove US legal reach

US law, including the CLOUD Act and FISA 702, can compel US-headquartered providers to disclose data within their control, regardless of where the servers are located. Many major AI vendors are US companies. EU or UK data residency reduces risk, but it does not eliminate US legal exposure.

Compliance risk

Regulated firms remain accountable for AI decisions and data processing

Under the EU AI Act and FCA SM&CR, firms and named senior managers are responsible for governance and oversight of AI systems used in their business. Under UK and EU GDPR, organisations must be able to demonstrate how personal data was processed, by whom, and under what safeguards. If critical logs and processing details sit with a third party, you depend on contractual and technical access to evidence compliance.

Business risk

Client confidentiality does not disappear when you use an API

Law firms, financial advisers and healthcare providers operate under strict confidentiality and professional secrecy obligations. Sending client material to a cloud AI provider is a disclosure to a third party. Whether that is permitted depends on the contract, data processing agreement and client consent. If this is unclear, you are exposed.

Operational risk

If their infrastructure fails, your AI fails

Cloud AI depends on continuous external connectivity and third-party infrastructure. Outages, API limits, account suspensions or policy changes can disrupt core workflows. If AI is embedded in daily operations, you inherit external dependencies you do not control.

Understand the full picture
The question facing businesses in 2026 is not whether to take data sovereignty seriously. Legislation and real-world infrastructure events have already made that decision. The question is how quickly to act.

Three Platforms.
One Managed Service.

We install, configure, and operate these platforms inside your building. You access them like any other tool while we handle everything underneath.

01

Private AI

Give your whole team a private, in-house AI assistant. Like ChatGPT, but running entirely on your own hardware. Staff ask questions, draft documents, summarise reports, and analyse data. Everything happens inside your building. No data leaves. No usage limits. No monthly per-seat fees that multiply as you grow.

Built for UK & European Businesses
in Regulated Sectors

If your organisation handles sensitive data, operates under UK or EU regulatory frameworks, or has clients who require confidentiality: this was built for you.

Law firms and legal practices Client privilege and strict confidentiality duties mean cloud AI tools require careful legal review. Using third-party AI providers can constitute disclosure to a processor and may trigger cross-border transfer, audit and contractual risk. Many firms choose local or fully controlled deployments to reduce that exposure.
Healthcare providers and clinics Patient data is special category data under UK and EU GDPR. AI use typically requires a DPIA and robust safeguards. On-premise or fully controlled infrastructure can significantly reduce cross-border transfer risk and reliance on foreign vendors, but governance obligations still apply.
Financial services and wealth managers Under FCA SM&CR, Senior Managers are accountable for governance in their area, including oversight of AI systems used in decision-making. Firms must be able to evidence controls, auditability and risk management. Locally controlled logging and infrastructure can materially strengthen that position.
Professional services firms Accountants, consultants and advisers handling confidential financial and strategic information must manage third-party processing risk carefully. Using AI providers introduces data processor and potential jurisdictional considerations that must be contractually and technically controlled.
Manufacturing with sensitive IP Product designs, production processes and supplier data represent core intellectual property. Processing that data via third-party AI providers may expose it to contractual, jurisdictional and trade secret risks. Many manufacturers prefer controlled or sovereign infrastructure for high-value IP.
Any business with mid-size IT teams You want AI capability without building a full internal ML team. We provide controlled infrastructure, deployment and ongoing management so you retain oversight while gaining capability.
